New Stash...

Got some new stash yesterday, so after chugging some dinner last night, headed up to the studio to have some play time...

This is a page for the journal....Ranger Specialty Stamping paper, approximately 4 x 6 inches.  I started by swiping it thru Tumbled Glass and Antique Linen distress stain...it actually makes a cool green-ish color...here's the back of the page, might as well kill two birds with one stone, so to speak...
Midway thru...added some stamping with what I now consider my new favorite background stamp (Studio 490...what?..did you expect something else???)
Used the new Studio 490 leaf stencil, and the stripes stencil. Distress inks used on the stripes are Crushed Olive and Stormy Sky. I used stains to lightly swipe over the embossing paste. And here's the finished page...
The colors aren't intense in this pic, must have hit the wrong button...the bird is black embossing paste...the branch he sits on is the Branch Tree die used as a stencil.
The flower is water color paper, stamped and inked with Distress Stains.
Then, like a dork, I glued down the flower and everything before stamping or doing anything on the back..which now makes it a little difficult to complete, but I managed to finish it rather simply...
I'm in love with the flourish stamps (Studio 490)...both regular and the new "mini"...these are the new mini's. Some random "bricking" with the brick stencil and distress ink...love that look...
It was so nice to get into the ink! lol...
Here's another journal page I did a week ago or so...with some of my "old" fave Studio 490 stamps...
I used some embossing paste on the bottom, tried to make it look like grass? or a green clump of something? LOL...at any rate, the flowers look "grounded" now, so, all is good. lol.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek...I appreciate it!

Love the pages and the new stash!!! Mine should be here soon - can't wait! You weren't a dork...you just wanted a unique opportunity to present itself on the back side of the page. And you use it perfectly! Now you've got my head moving in the art direction, guess I should take advantage of it!

Fabulous pages Lori, I love the texture and colours of the first one. The brick stencil is so cool, and love the last page too, with one of my fav Wendy flowers. I love how 3D you've made them look.

Well, Eileen, apparently my eyes were more tired than I realized last night - and auto-correct on the phone zinged me. "Stencil slit"??? lol I'd better stick with my title for my obsession: stencil 'hoe. lol
